Service don't work and i don't understand why.

Hello guys.

I'm trying to install ocs Windows Agent 2.1.1.3 with a Little script (.bat), here it is:

@echo off
cd "C:\"& Start OCS-NG-Windows-Agent-Setup.exe /S /NOSPLASH /INSTALL /NOW /SERVEUR=http://192.168.1.104/ocsinventory /NP

It kind of work. The Agent install by himself, the log file tell me that's working but i got that line in the log file :

[/NOW] used, so launching "C:\Program Files (x86)\OCS Inventory Agent\ocsinventory.exe"...Result: 4

What "Result: 4" mean?! I think that's the Probleme because when i'm doing a manually graphical install it works and the Client send his Information to my Server, and in log file i can see "result : 0" so...

Then. If /now don't work. I'm gonna try to Launch it manually. And i got an error: Error code 1053 = Service didn't respond.

Error HTTP 1.1 404 not Found

Hello,

when I try to upload the ocs file to my server... The error http 1.1 404 not found appear.

How can I solve that?

Server = Version 2.2, Debian 8 Agent = 2.1.1.3 Windows 7

I restarted the apache, no success...

Please help me someone :(

Hi

OCS Windows Agent use local system user to inventory the machine because it must have admin rights to do this. When no user is logged "local system" user is used. So this is normal.

OCS Reports 403 after Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Hello,

I Upgraded my OCS server to latest Ubuntu LTS (16.04) and now I get this error message.

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /ocsreports/ on this server.

What should I check?

Server is running version 2.0.5 and when I tried to Upgrade to OCS 2.2 I got this error when the installation asked me about the apache daemon,

"AHH00526: Syntax error on line 74 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf:

Invalid Muted directory in argument file:$ APACHE_LOCK_DI

So I guess there is issue with apache?

I would like to have the version 2.0.5 working or update to 2.2.

EDIT, I think the 403 error is now solved, I changed Alias path from this file /etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default.conf

Path was Alias /ocsreports /usr/share/ocs-inventory-reports and I changed it to Alias /ocsreports /usr/share/ocs-inventory-reports/ocsreports does this even make any sense?

Hi,

You can uninstall a software using the teledeploy feature by running an uninstall script. But there is no "one click way" you have to create the uninstall script, store it and execute it trough deployment.

Hi,

Ocsinventory is in the first place an inventory software. There is no feature to track these type of informations like pirated softwares.

You can still create your own plugin to add this feature as an ocs module.

I want to populate aditional information from OCS client to  OCS server.

The idea is that I out some XML file with this content:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ACCOUNTINFO>
        <KEYNAME>Responsable</KEYNAME>
        <KEYVALUE>Infraestructura</KEYVALUE>
</ACCOUNTINFO>

And send it information to OCS server..

Is it possible...?

Attempt reinstall when exit code != 0

Is there a way to tell OCS to re-attempt an installation, when the previous attempt failed? I have packages that cannot be installed under certain conditions (e.g. Firefox is running). In my script (AutoIt or Bat) I would like to check for these conditions and exit with a specific exit code (e.g. 75, ex_tempfail). The agent should then retry the installation after some period of time.

Is this in any way possible? Right now I have to manually remove the package from the history file (on the agent side) and re-affect it on the server side.

Quand je fais remonter l'inventaire du park informatique, j'ai des doublons qui remontent car j'ai des pc qui ont changés de nom. Je sais pas comment faire pour les supprimer. Il y a t-il une solution?

Hi.

Indeed the setting AUTO_DUPLICATE_LVL was ticked (by default I guess) on Serial, in server configuration.

So I changed yesterday to match duplicates with hostname + mac address + uuid as you did.

And it works !

Computers inventoried are at last all kept in reports.

I was blocked by this problem for a while, many thanks migueljimenez for your help !

Bonjour

L'url d'envoi des inventaires est http://192.168.1.120/ocsinventory et uniquement celle-ci. Il faut donc que tu modifies la ligne "server=" dans le fichier ocsinventory.ini. Pour ce faire, stopper le service, modifier/sauvegarder le fichier, puis démarrer le service. Refaire un inventaire.

installation OCS => pb GLPI : php version 5.3.8 requiert

Bonjour,

Petite question, je procede a une installation classique de la combinaison OCS/ GLPI.

Après avoir téléchargé la dernière version  d' OCS.

Je procède à l'installation sans problème. création de bdd ok , connexion ok

Le souci survient au moment de l'installation de GLPI. car je rencontre une page blanche ou il m'est simplement indiqué que ma version de php n'est pas compatible.

La version de php étant livrée lors de l'installation OCS (avec Xampp) ,  J'ai essayer de monter en version mon php a travers Xampp mais la solution n'a pas été concluante. J'ai essayer d'installer la dernière version de xampp mais lors du lancement du setup ocs, le perl n'est pas reconnu.

Que puis je faire pour contourner ce problème ?

Bonjour,

Il est impossible d'installer deux agents sur une même machine.

L'agent utilise par défaut des répertoires bien précis et ceux-ci sont bloqués en écriture par le service ocsinventory.

Installer un deuxième agent reviendrait à écraser la configuration du premier dans tous les cas.

MSI is made for install a software : not for uninstall.

You can use the add/remove software functionnality from windows to uninstall the agent.
