Failed to send prolog

Hello,

I have a problem with some OCS agents on Windows computers.

I have the following error when the agent run : Failed to send prolog <SSL Connect Error>.

Whith the same configuration file , pem file and everything equal some agents works and some agents don't work.

I d'ont uderstand why this error append.

I do some test : 

  • ping to the server is ok
  • Connection with port 443 to the server is ok
  • Same certificate on all computers
  • Same version : 2.1.1.1
  • Restart the services doesn't change things
SSL=0 in the conf file. I tried with SSL=1 , it changes nothing.

Some agents send HTTP ERROR #500 but were working 2 hours ago

Hello,

I can't receive some agent inventory for some Windows agents in my network which are sending #500 error now.

I try to restart apache, reinstall agent for each computers that are not sending inventory.

Here are the error.log from apache :

Installation problem

I am trying to install the OCS Server on an Ubuntu 17.04 server, but at the moment I access the address http: //localhost/ocsreports/install.php the program brings out the following error:

OCS-NG Inventory Installation

ERROR: MySQL for PHP is not properly installed.
Try installing MySQL for php package (Debian: php5-mysql)

But this package is no longer available in this version of Ubuntu.

Hello to all,

At the end I've solved myself at the end the issue with the winupdate plugin....

It's related to a 64bit system which is executing a 32bit script. This invokes a 32bit HKLM tree instead to the 64bit which contains the needed data.

If someone is interested in, I could share the modified script.

Problème OCS server

Bonjour à tous,

Depuis peu je travaille sur ocs et glpi. Dans glpi j'ai eu à installer un plugin nommé reports avec lequel j'ai pu créer quelques rapports mais le problème est que je n'arrive plus à visualiser le contenu de mes listes déroulantes sous glpi. Après recherche, j'ai remarqué des erreurs de log dans mes fichiers glpi qui se réfère à ocs que je ne comprends pas. J'ai alors besoin de votre aide svp? Ce problème retarde un peu mon travail. J'utilise la version 2.3 de OCS. Je vous remercie et toutes mes excuses pour un quelconque dérangement. :)

Question très très importante sur GLPI

Bonjour à tous ,

Je sais que je ne suis pas sur le bon forum, mais le forum de GLPI est complétement mort .

J'aimerais activer les notifications par mail sur GLPI mais lorsque je fait envoyer un message test cela me dit  "erreur d'envoie de message test" or il y a deux semaines cela fonctionnais correctement . J'utilise le serveur de messagerie de gmail .

Mon serveur OCS&GLPI est sous ubuntu .

Auriez-vous une idée d'ou cela pourrais venir ?

Hello to all,

I know that I am not on the good forum, but the forum of GLPI completely died.

I would like to activate the notifications by e-mail on GLPI but when I made send a test message it tells me "Error of sends of test message" yet two weeks ago it worked correctly. I use the mail server of gmail.

My server OCS&GLPI is on ubuntu. 

Would you have an idea where from it could come?

TAGS: Common usage?

Hello,

I'm a new user of OCS Inventory.

What is exactly the prupose of tags?
I think it's to better organize our inventory.

If so... can I add multiple tags on the same server? How? I've tried to add it but it's always seen as a single tag, even if separated by space, comma...

Je dois utiliser la dernière version d'XAMPP pour des raisons de sécurité. Du coup je ne peux plus installer la dernière version d'OCS. D'où ma question :

OCS NG  serveur pour Windows est-il obsolète définitivement ?

Y-a-t-il une nouvelle version de prévue ?

Hi Simon,

I think that there are several possibilities but globally the "tag" allows to provide a personalized label to the inventoried machine.

> It is an easy way to categorize PCs in order to find them more easily in your OCS database, to add them in a group (customer, service, use, etc.), allow selection of a PCs category (lock) or to carry out a common action on several PCs .

Of course, the value of this tag depends directly on the inventoried machine and there can be as many values as the organization of your customers requires in a same OCS database server.

The TAG element (4th option) in the "Configuration" area of the OCS server allows you to customize the text that will be automatically requested during the first inventory of the new inventoried machine.

Hello Stéphane,

I am sorry if I'm not using the right way to explain myself ;-)

First of all, I've OCS Inventory Server on Linux box (with all components) and yes, the rest are all OCS clients/agents, even if most of them are used a servers (here my mistrake in the explanation) but not OCS servers. So, let me give you an example:

  • OCS Inventory Server 2.3.1

The we have agents, like those:

  • Linux Agent: WEB Server located in DATACENTER1, managed by customer
  • Linux Agent: DB Server located in DATACENTER1, managed by customer
  • Windows Agent: WEB Server located in DATACENTER1, managed by ISP
  • Windows Agent: Windows workstation, located in OFFICE1, managed by ISP
  • Windows Agent: DB Server located in DATACENTER2, managed by ISP

I would like to group them with TAGS. The result of the above setup could be:

  • Linux Agent: TAGS: linux, server, datacenter1, customer
  • Linux Agent: TAGS: linux, server, datacenter1, customer
  • Windows Agent: TAGS: windows, server, datacenter1, intern
  • Windows Agent: TAGS: windows, workstation, office1, intern
  • Windows Agent: TAGS: windows, server, datacenter2, intern

As you can see, every agent would have 4 TAGS and, based on tags, I could grup them  having informations about, i.e.:

  • Which agents are linux servers? (TAG: linux, server)
  • Which agents are managed by customers and are located in DATACENTER1? (TAG: server, datacenter1)
  • Which agents are office workstations and located in office1? (TAG: office1, workstation)

This is my prupose? Starting using OCS Inventory now, it's better I'm creating the setup correctly from the beginning. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding something?
