Cannot establish communication : 500 Internal Server Error

When installing new ocsinventory-agents inventory is not sent and the error occurs: "Cannot establish communication : 500 Internal Server Error" . Agents that are already installed work normally and send the inventory correctly. The versoin of OcsINventory-server  2.3.1 and OCSInventory-agent 2.0.5. SO of server is  Debian 8 and clients are Ubuntu 14 and 16. All softwares requirements of server were attended.

Latest lines from Apache error log : [mpm_prefork:notice] Apache/2.4.10 (Debian) OpenSSL/1.0.1t mod_perl/2.0.9dev Perl/v5.20.2 configured --resuming normal operations

As latest version of OCS is not supported on windows, you must use an agent in the sames version of your server : 2.1 and not 2.3.

Downgrad your agent or change your server for a linux to be in 2.3.

L'intégration de plugin serait cool si seulement j'avais des machines avec MS Office pour avoir des remontés :D

Sinon oui ça serait bien d'avoir de nouvelles machines dans la démo (pour l'upgrade on est en 2.3 et l'interface est similaire en 2.3.1).

Mais promis c'est dans ma todo list :)

N'hésites pas à passer sur IRC si tu as des XML de machines qui trainent pour la démo :)

La version avec Xampp est obsolète et ne sera plus jamais mis à jour. Perso j'aimerai bien l'enlever si ça ne tenait qu'à moi ...

Mais ça ne veut pas dire qu'on ne pense pas à windows.

En gros l'installation sur windows à toujours été considéré comme une sorte de démo pour tester le produit avec un support parfait des plateforme unix pour la production. Aujourd'hui, un composant qui n'existe plus sous windows et qui pourrait disparaitre sous linux nous bloque : mod_perl. Nous avons commencé à développé sur une alternative mais cela prend du temps.

Donc on a pas oublié windows mais faudra être patient. Une alternative en attendant pourrait être docker ou Ubuntu sur windows.

Utilisation de SNMP avec OCS

Bonjour à tous,

J'ai réalisé l'installation suivante sur des machines virtuelles Hyper V :

- Windows Server 2012R2 --> OCS + Base de données

OCS server version 2.1.2 - OCS agent version 2.1.1.1

- Windows Server 2012R2 --> GLPI 9.1.3

- Centos7 --> SNMP

Tout fonctionne correctement au niveau d'OCS et de GLPI.

Le problème est que mon entreprise souhaite placer la base de données dans une DMZ privée, ce qui fait au vu de mon installation qu'OCS se trouverait lui aussi en DMZ privée.

J'ai cru comprendre que pour utiliser SNMP - IPDISCOVER il faut que le serveur OCS puisse communiquer avec l'agent SNMP (ici mon serveur centos7).

Ma question est donc la suivante :Peut-on utiliser la fonction SNMP - IPDISCOVER sur le serveur OCS, avec comme serveur SNMP ma machine Centos7 ?

Sachant que le serveur OCS est en DMZ privée, et qu'il ne pourra donc pas communiquer avec le serveur SNMP.

Error download.exe in windows agent, we can't teledeploy

Hi,

We can't teledeploy programs in windows systems using OCS, 

The problem is in the windows agent after the client recieve the zip file. We have tried windows xp (agent 2.1.1.1), windows 7 (agent 2.3.0.0) and windows 10 (agent 2.3.0.0) and in all of the we find the same problem with Dowload.exe after the install software prompt window.

 

Do you know what's the problem?

Download log  don't show errors and finish with:

DOWNLOAD => Executing action <LAUNCH> for package <1495451116>

Hi ,

I installed a network script on the server and copy the vbs file into the plugins directory of my clients.

The problem is : WARNING *** EXECUTABLE PLUGIN => Plugin <C:\Program Files (x86)\OCS Inventory Agent\plugins\networkshare.vbs> does not produce any output

I read "The agent is not launched using the current user but the system user".

My question is, how can I launch my agent with current user ? Ocs is deploy by GPO

2.3.0 agent is not working with 2.2.1 server for me.

I have deployed a docker container OCS Inventory server version 2.2.1 (the one which is currently available in Github). I tried to add some Windows 2.3.0 agents but always get this issue:

Not sure if the problem is with 2.2.1 server or not. I tried with 2.1.1 windows agent and seems to work fine. The problem is that I need to add Windows 2012 / Windows 7 servers and 2.1.1 is for XP and 2003R2. The agent still works but not sure if full functionality will be avaiable.... my guess is no. Questions:

1) What are the functionalities I can loose using 2.1.1 agent on Windows 7 / 2012?

2) Is there any way to make 2.3.0 agent work with 2.2.1 server?

Hi,

I have more then 300 computers in my network. How to deploy package to all of them ?
Filter allows to see  only 100 computers. It is vary annoying.

No new inventories since server update

Hi all,

I upgraded our OCS NG server to v2.3.1 on Monday 29th May. Install appeared to go fine. We've been using OCS for over 5 years, through quite a number of versions, so the upgrade process has become quite routine.

The problem is, however, that if we look at the computers (i.e.: http://ocsserver.our-domain.local/ocsreports/?function=visu_computers), no new inventories have come in since 2017-05-29 10:26:32.

A sample of my Apache error log file for OCS:

im trying to install ocs inventory on Vmware

I tryed it with serveral versions of linux, but no succes

there seems to be a pre installed vmware edition of OCS server , but the download link isnt working.

Can i still get this job done?

Multiple OCS inventory - Glpi link

Hello everyone,

Today we use OCS inventory for one client we would like to use it for multiple client is that possible on same server ? And if it is there is a tutorial or something to get started ?

We use GLPI to manage our clients. Each client have his own entity can we import OCS inventory to one entity ?

The goal is to have multiple ocs inventory and one glpi and to sync each ocs to one glpi entity.

How frequent the agent would update the server?

Hi All,

I have checked that there is a parameter "FREQUENCY" about how frequent the agent would update the server (correct if I am wrong).

However, I have a windows machine with agent installed, I wait for more than 24 hrs, however, I cannot see there is any update to the server (I can manually update the server my running the agent).

Is that normal?

merci à vous 2 pour vos idées. J'ai finalement suivis vos conseils mais afin de sécuriser un peu l'envoie des fichiers OCS hors de la DMZ j'ai créé un script permettant la copie en SFTP.

Ensuite c'est l'injector sur le serveur de destination et tout roule.

Got to the bottom of it.

Updated "/etc/ocsinventory/ocsinventory-reports/dbconfig.inc.php" after the upgrade, but forgot about "/etc/httpd/conf.d/z-ocsinventory-server.conf".

Clearly my upgrade process was not so "routine" :)

Aucune remonté d'infos de plugin vers la base de données

Bonjour,

Après 2 jours de recherche, je ne sais plus ou chercher !

-----------

Etat des lieux:

  • Serveur OCS 2.3 sur debian 8 --> Operationnel avec remonté d'info des PCs
  • Installation des plugins depuis https://github.com/PluginsOCSInventory-NG avec les derniers releases (Office / uptime / Windows Update / security / teamviever...)
  • Sur le Serveur, présence des tables dans la base de données + présence des dossiers et fichiers des plugins dans etc/ocsinventory-server/perl/Apache/Ocsinventory/Plugins...
  • Sur les postes, vérification de la présence des section "uptime" / "officePack" / .... dans le fichier .XML généré avec les options "/local /Force /xml"

Ce qui ne marche pas

  • L'import du fichier XML depuis l'interface OCS me donne droit à un "Erreur" --> impossible de trouver la trace de ce message d'erreur

HELP ME !!
